In 2010, I began painting my Obscuratype™ designs—a visual language built from layered typography. Five years later, I was invited to create my first site‑specific Obscuratype™ collection for Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Salt Lake City. The series transformed words associated with the hotel into typographic paintings which were installed throughout the lobby for the opening reception on June 19, 2015, and remained on view through September.
Now, for the first time, I’ve made the full collection available—with edition prints and a few remaining originals. After more than a decade, I’m pleased to revisit this milestone in my work and share the full collection again.
